Waterfalls, Rainforest Canopy, Hiking and Beaches
Get ready for Monkey rush hour. Pour a steaming cup of organic coffee at sunrise and watch 100’s of Titi Monkey’s pass by at eye level each day. Most with babies! Rush hour begins early as dozens of Congo – Howler monkeys, trogons, hawks, falcons and exotic parrots fly by each day. Our guests have spotted jaguars, pumas, tapirs, brocket deer and anteaters. You might get a friendly visit from a Kinkajou. Nocturnal and mostly blind, take as many pictures as you like! .Book your Costa Rica treehouse rental direct with us and save 15% traveler’s fees charged by bookings.com, vrbo and airbnb rentals in Puerto Jimenez. They charge us too! Not anymore, we’re riding in the treehouse canopy above Airbnb and passing off the savings to you.Why pay more for your treehouse vacation and get less. We support local Costa Rican tour guides, education and artisan programs for kids too. It’s important your travel dollars help local people first. Don’t be blind like a Kinkajou, book with us direct and save on your treehouse vacation to Costa Rica.
As far as Osa Peninsula eco-tours go? Wow, where to begin? Hike on our easy-to-get-to trails, eat exotic fruits and vegetables from our garden and plan a day out with dolphins with John on the Golfo Dulce. When walking down to our tree house dipping pool, keep your eye out for the sloth too. It’s truly a jungle out there. Visit a wildlife refuge, go kayaking in mangrove estuaries, teach your kids to surf, zip lines and keep ladies on your team with a stop at an organic chocolate farm close by. Hike on our designated trails or head out to La Tarde Indigenous at top of Corcovado National Park. A cultural immersion experience not to be missed. There’s also;
- Swimming near dolphins and Bio-Illuminescence night tours on the water
- Waterfall and tree rappelling with Drew or Andy.
- Surf lessons, horseback riding and waterfall exploring.
- Stand up boarding and kayak fishing for snook and tarpon.
- Birdwatching and Butterfly farm.
- Caiman & Croc lagoon in Puerto Jimenez.
- Massage, Reiki and Yoga with Laura Castro or Natalie.
My personal favorite tour…..Lounging by the pool with frozen drink and a few Jesus Christ Lizards.
Ask about all Inclusive treehouse packages that include 2 meals and 1 airport pick up. Your travel dollars should support Tico’s and viable eco tourism on The Osa Peninsula. Lapa’s Nest Treehouse is just 15 minutes-drive north of Puerto Jimenez. Cash machine, airport, restaurants, gift shops, banks ,car rentals and a bunch of monkeys can be found at the seaside restaurants. You won’t want to go home, but in case you do.. Visit the gift shops and pick up a few of Michael’s Paintings on the way out.
If you want the top bedroom, better hurry up stairs, get there before the kids do. It’s the only rule…Youngest first. After all if your kids can’t cure you of heights, the baby monkeys leaping past the treehouse living room surely will. Occasionally The Howler monkeys will rock you out of bed above your heads as you sleep comfu in screened rooms. Internet squeeks through the cracks so you can e-mail friends and family. Sorry no streaming. Come Play, Come Stay.
